About Claudine...
Claudine is formerly known as “Jamie Lewis” - morning show co-host on San Diego radio morning show “AJ’s Playhouse” on KHTS-FM. Claudine grew up in Chicago, Illinois and started her voice career at 12 years old, when she was asked to be a narrator in church. In high school, she was a drama club geek and was in every school play. She worked on a few small projects for Columbia College’s WCRX-FM in Chicago while working at a record store (records were those round vinyl things that played music back in the day), then moved to California to pursue a career in the arts.
After small successes in singing, acting and dancing (no, not the dirty kind), Claudine found a home in radio - first doing traffic reports for City College in San Diego, then landing at San Diego heritage radio station Q106. While attending San Diego State University, she spearheaded radio station promotions, and began her professional voice career by voicing commercials, hosting weekend shows, and doing bits on Q106’s famed “Jeff & Jer Showgram”. She eventually went on to do air shifts at XHRM-FM and KHTS-FM, and ultimately accepted the position as co-host on “AJ’s Playhouse”.
Claudine left radio in 2005 and launched www.claudinelewis.com, working from her home studio on various projects including radio and TV spots, corporate narration and on-hold messages. Claudine is passionate about charitable causes and has recently lent her voice to radio and TV commercials for the San Diego Blood Bank.
Claudine has won various awards for her work including two Achievement in Radio Awards and an EAR Award (Effective Advertising in Radio) for her work on the San Diego Blood Bank spots.
